This agreement is made this day _______, and is between the seller and buyer as named above.
Litter Sire: ___________
Litter Dam: ____________
Color: ____ Sex: ______ Date of Birth: ____________
Health Guarantee: Applies only to the original buyer
This puppy is in good health and has been immunized and dewormed according to the accompanying health record of said Schnoodle. The buyer agrees to have the dog examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 10 days from the date of purchase. If the Veterinarian does not give the dog a clean bill of health, the Seller/Breeder must be notified immediately. Any minor or correctable condition or one that will resolve itself with time is not covered. If the puppy is found not to be in good health, Seller/Breeder will resume possession if this is agreeable to both parties, with full refund, upon seller's receipt of a letter from a licensed Veterinarian, stating the puppy's untreatable condition, within 10 days of delivery of puppy to your home. Seller/Breeder reserves the right to have the dog re-examined by our Veterinarian at our cost. The breeder/seller assumes no responsibility for any incurred Veterinarian charges. Any charges involved in the return of the puppy (travel expenses, air fare, health certificate, etc.) are the responsibility of the buyer. Seller/Breeder does not assume responsibility for contagious disease diagnosed after 3 days from the date of arrival.
Every reasonable precaution has been taken to prevent this puppy from acquiring hereditary hip dysplasia, cataracts, or elbow dysplasia. Due to the unknown hereditary and environmental causes of such defects, no guarantee will be given against them. However, should this puppy develop any of these problems deemed to be hereditary by 26 months of age, Oodles of Schnoodles will offer a replacement puppy, upon notification and written verification by OFA(hips) or PennHip, CERF(eyes), or a Board Certified Cardiologist(heart). The replacement puppy will be offered, following the return of this puppy/dog to the Seller/Breeder, (at buyer's expense), and when the Seller/Breeder has another litter available, offering the same sex and quality of mating. No exchange for hip or elbow dysplasia will be given if the puppy/dog has been allowed to be overweight. No exchange will be given for hip, elbow, eye, or heart problems, if the dog is not examined by 28 months.
The Buyer agrees that this puppy will be given adequate shelter and housed securely. This puppy will not be neglected, allowed to roam free, or mistreated in any manner. This puppy will not be restrained by chaining to a stationary object (tree, post, etc.). The puppy will receive proper veterinary care throughout its lifetime, and receive appropriate vaccinations. The puppy will receive proper nutrition including immune system building vitamins and not be allowed to become overweight. (If the buyer decides to buy and continue allowing their puppy to get the benefits of pawTree’s all life stages dog food, and their Superfood Vitamins and Minerals then the health guarantee will be valid for 36 months (3years) .)
This guarantee does NOT include viral illnesses, infections, cryptorchidism, hernias, hypoglycemia, worms, giardia, coccidiosis, non-genetically cause seizures, or portosystemic shunts. It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, plants, chemicals or other items, physical injury or issues whose cause is unknown or may have an environmental link or illnesses from unknown causes that are not preventable by genetic pre-screening, including, but not limited to, cancerous growths.
Not included in this guarantee are health problems arising from trauma, abuse or failure to maintain general health care of this dog, including allowing the dog to become overweight (overweight is defined as body condition score over 5 on a scale of 10). Also not included is injury to joints or bones from overexercise. Since current veterinary science shows that dysplasia/osteoarthritis is more a product of nutrition and environment than genetics, dogs that are at any point overweight or that incur injury to bones or joints from over-exercise or exposure to improper or harsh environment are explicitly excluded from warranty of hip or elbow dysplasia. Veterinary records showing regular (annual, at minimum) veterinary wellness visits, including weight, body condition score, and use/implementation of recommended vaccines, preventative medications, and lifestyle changes (such as, but not limited to, weight loss, exercise, living arrangements). Complete veterinary records must be provided to the Seller if requesting refund or replacement. If any of the above-mentioned veterinary expenses are covered by any insurance policy, Seller is not required to reimburse for any covered amounts. Under no circumstances shall the Seller be liable to the Buyer or to any third party for a dog that has been subjected to abuse, accident, negligence, or misuse Vitamins and Minerals then the health guarantee will be valid for 60 months (5 years) .)
The Buyer will notify the Seller first, if for any reason the Buyer is no longer able to keep the puppy/dog. The Seller/Breeder will have the first right of refusal if the puppy is to be sold or disposed of in any way, and given the option to re-acquire the puppy or help in finding it a new home. If the Seller/Breeder chooses to re-acquire the puppy, all but $1500 of the new selling price will be returned to the buyer, when the puppy/dog is sold at fair market value, which may be more or less than the amount originally paid by the buyer, depending on age, training, temperament, and health. Oodles of Schnoodles puppies are responsibly bred for health, temperament and beauty. Each of our puppies are handled, loved, and observed through the many weeks before leaving with their new family. Our best efforts are given in communicating with each new family the temperament we see in each of our puppies. Our puppy's future temperament and behavior will be a reflection of the care and training received in each of their new home environments. Our Schnoodles are, by nature, loving, gentle, family dogs, exhibiting non-aggressive behavior. However, we make no guarantee about the eventual temperament or personality of your puppy/dog, as we cannot control the influence of environment or training given in each new home. We strongly recommend a puppy obedience class, to ensure a happy and strong relationship between you and your new puppy.
Four-Month Puppy Protection Period:
Buyer understands that Seller has instructed Buyer not to take Puppy to public places (including, but not limited to, parks, neighbors’, pet supply stores, puppy classes/training, etc.) frequented by other puppies or dogs until the Puppy has received its final rounds of shots (to be determined by a licensed veterinarian, usually 16 weeks of age). This is for the health of the Puppy and to avoid contact with areas where infected or unvaccinated dogs may have been or may be present with such illnesses/bacteria/fungus causing parvovirus, giardia, clostridia, coccidia, etc. This is to protect the Puppy, and could save the Puppy’s life. Any illness contracted from Buyer’s decision not to strictly follow these guidelines will void this guarantee.
Buyer agrees to:
• Feed a quality dog food that includes meat as the first ingredient (as defined by the Association of American Feed Control Officials) and that contains no corn, wheat, soy, or their derivatives, no artificial colors/flavors/preservatives and is manufactured in the United States by a company with no history of recalls. Properly formulated raw food diets are also acceptable when overseen by a licensed veterinarian.
• Maintain the dog in good health
• Provide routine preventative health care including, but not limited to, annual wellness checkups but a licensed veterinarian, vaccination, parasite control, monthly heartworm prevention, and other preventative medication
• Not allow the dog to become overweight or over-exercised
• Not subject the dog to harsh environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, sleeping on concrete or other hard surfaces or prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures or extreme weather conditions
• Notify Seller if Buyer must rehome the dog
• Never turn the dog over to a shelter or rescue
Failure to do any of the above voids this guarantee.
Buyer also agrees to forever hold harmless the Seller/Breeder and his/her immediate family and/or all persons and entities associated with the Seller/Breeder generally and specifically from any and all liability for death, personal injury, or property damage resulting in any way from this dog or Buyer's ownership of this dog. Due to varying kinds of different environmental conditions the puppies come in contact with; and the fact that all puppies have immune system that take time to mature, I would highly recommend the buyer to stay on the use of pawTree’s All life stages Dog food.
Your puppy has been sent home on an all-stages formula of pawTree brand food. We have found this to be the best food on the market for our puppies. The brand is preservative free, has never had a recall, manufactured under a quality program that includes a HACCP plan, with most ingredients sourced in the US* and was developed by PhD nutritionists and Veterinarian specialists. Meat is the first ingredient, it is AAFCO, WSAVA, and FDA compliant, and has undergone digestibility studies and palatability tests. Palatability can be an issue with our breed, so this is an important factor in selecting a food. We have also found the high digestibility produces smaller volume and less odorous stool. On average, the digestibility studies show pawTree recipes have a minimum digestibility of 83%. They also show that both protein and fat are highly digestible (on average, 87% and 94% respectively). In addition, the dogs are digesting most of the calories for energy (on average 89%). We are happy to share additional nutritional information on request. We recommend our puppy families rotate grain free/grain inclusive recipes and proteins to help prevent potential nutritional deficiencies and we provide instructions for them on how to accomplish this with minimal to no gastric upset.
The puppies have been enjoying and benefiting from pawPairing’s (Vitamins and minerals) as well as some other supplements from pawTree before going to their new homes and we want them to continue this journey to optimal health!
